Youth Mentorship 2011
Mullum Music Festival - 2011 YOUTH MENTORSHIP WINNERS...
In the second year of its existence, the Mullum Music Festival Youth Mentorship Program has had a huge response from young Musicians for all the five categories in 2011.
There were many more online entries this year, with young Musicians from as far as Bonalbo to Caboolture applying, and the quality of artists was very high.
Successful applicants were chosen by the festival committee and in some cases the mentors themselves.
The committee found it very difficult to decide, and some acts were chosen because it was felt they would benefit the most from the Artists involved in this years program.
Our successful applicants for 2011 are:

There were many more entries this year, with the Singer Songwriter category again receiving the most applications.
The new Blues and roots category turned up some unexpectedly talented young musicians in this genre.
The successful youngsters will spend an hour with their mentors at the Mullum High school music rooms, receiving performance feedback and developing their stage craft for their show.
They will also have a chance to talk about life as a professional musican, songwriting and musicianship.
The mentors will also join the young artists at their performance and help them prepare before going on stage.
We are very excited to be presenting this invaluable experience for young musicians again.
Congratulations to all our winners this year - and a huge thank you to all the young musicians who applied.
Keep inspired, keep writing, playing and performing!
