Learn to create your own rhythms and music through clapping, walking and a-rhythm-matics! No experience is necessary for all teens & adults to join in and explore rhythm. Learn from the absolute master of Body Percussion - Greg Sheehan. "Using rhythm games & improvisation we'll create an original performance piece that will feature at the MMF's Friday night show at the Mullum High."

James Kenyon will help you negotiate the perilous straits and avoid the pitfalls of using digital looping and effects with acoustic instruments and voice. When mastered these tools can create layers of harmony, rhythm beds and endless variation in texture and sound. It's also a hell of a lot of fun. come along and try it out.

JALI BUBA KUYATEH
The Life Of A Hereditary Musician Lecture / Demonstration
Born in Casamance, the southern region of Senegal, Jali Buba comes from the famous Kuyateh family of Medina Wandifa and has been playing Kora from the age of 10. In this workshop you will be treated to a performance and learn about the Kora and the important role of the instrument in West African society.

The History Of Latin American Music
Nano Stern will conduct a workshop on the history of Latin American Music, from indigenous times, through the influence of the Spanish Conquistadors and African slaves. He'll demonstrate and explain the songs, stories and guitar styles from his travels across Latin America, from his native Chile, all the way to Cuba.
