Rebecca Ireland
Rebecca Ireland launched her debut album, ‘Love and Sticky Tape’ earlier in 2011 to a packed audience at the acoustically brilliant Mullumbimby Drill Hall. With the audience dripping out the doors the gig highlighted the respect and admiration of Rebecca from her peers and the local community. There was warmth from the audience towards Rebecca that cannot be manufactured.
The night will long be remembered as one of the highlights of the local music scene for 2011. Along with Rebecca’s songs and music The Old Soul Band proved to be everything their name promised. They are for the most part old and drip with soul.
Now a favourite on the Bay Fm airwaves Rebecca also gained ABC North Coast album of the week and further airplay on national independent radio.
