Jacquelin Amidy

This is a rare spring festival appearance. Voice and guitar coalesce. A guitar style playing fluidly with tunings and sounds, a voice that has searching... never the same twice.

The last few years wandering between Berlin and Sydney with a studio in her backpack and travel guitar in hand, Jac has recorded in lounge rooms, cupboards, and kitchens capturing moments as they happen. Life, love and all the ridiculous.

Jac has toured and written with several outfits in Sydney, Berlin, Stuttgart and London; composed for 2010“World Radio Awards” nominated ABC radio show “Exit Sandman” and played most major Arts Festivals in Australia.

Glenn Wright, the organiser of the Mullum Festival, was overheard saying Jacqueline had one of the most beautiful voices he knew.

As a performer she will hold you gently in her hand and then when you think you’ve worked her out she’ll throw you into the air.
