Ilona Harker

Ilona Harker

Ilona Harker is a singer/song writer who plays guitar and ukulele (sometimes even at the same time) with her unique signature folk-noir sound.

Ilona sang with Butterfingers before she taught herself guitar just five years ago. Then in 2009 on a small tour to France, Ilona met up with Marc Colin of Nouvelle Vague, and was invited to record with him, however Ilona wanted to create her album in Australia, alongside Jodi Phillis (The Clouds) and Tim Oxley.

Ilona launched her debut Album 'that which lasts' in 2010 to much acclaim. Her commanding and breathtaking abilities as a performer are rare and leaves her audience gasping, as she cajoles them into deep, dark, lush country, where her wilds consume and you are left wanting for more.

‘..the vocals as close to a female Tom Waits as you’re likely to get..’ Rhythms Magazine
