Folk singer Garrett Kato released his self titled debut EP in 2009. Unintentionally, songs were entered in two of British Columbia’s biggest radio station contests and there was some success, with a Top 10 in ‘Vancouver Seeds’ and top 20 in the ‘Peak Performance Project’. Suddenly the Vancouver music industry opened up it’s arms. Soon Garrett was rubbing shoulders with all the right people.
This welcoming introduction to the music scene has lead Garrett to further recordings and touring. His latest album The Wilderness will be released in the Summer of 2011, produced by Todd Simko.
Always thoughtful, Garrett challenges and entertains his listeners with his melodies, imagery and life experiences. Its Fresh indie pop that will whisk you into a dreamy state.
