Acre

Acre
Formed in the Byron Shire in the late 90’s Acre released two albums and one EP, all of which received critical acclaim, numerous accolades and high rotation airplay on Australian radio, including Triple J. The band’s live shows were renowned for their energy, originality and expertise and they have gone on to become legendary in their absence.
Around 2005, Acre went on the back burner as family, work and other artistic endeavours took precedent. Founding member and acclaimed producer/composer Christian Pyle started a new band, Ghost Mountain, released another solo album and played with a range of local acts including The Re-mains, Glory B and The Tendons. Dave Sanders, renowned local drummer, has been busy playing with the likes of Lisa Hunt, Rodriguez and Jo Jo Smith.
This year, after considerable nagging from their many fans and fellow musicians, the guys are back. This time they will be joined by bass legend Lenny Bastiaans (Anti Anti, Louis Tillet).
This is your chance to catch Acre in a rare performance of some of their past hits and unreleased tracks—before life and art swallows them up again.
