Australia’s sweetheart, Gabriella Cohen has struck gold again with the release of her No. 2 international acclaimed record ‘Pink Is The Colour Of Unconditional Love’. This record was once again self-produced and engineered by long time collaborator Kate ‘Babyshakes’ Dillon and Cohen herself, in the countryside of regional Victoria.

There, amidst flocks of screeching white cockatoos and herds of Black Angus cows, they etched the beginning of Pink Is The Colour Of Unconditional Love. The record was almost complete when the band was invited to join Foxygen’s U.S tour, compelling the girls to finish the album on the road. Armed with a microphone and an interface, Dillon and Cohen captured the final touches on a boat in England, the coast of Portugal; the mountains of Southern Italy, cabanas of Mexico, and finally Venice Beach, Los Angeles.

Having already released her critically acclaimed LP ‘Full Closure And No Details’, (2016) Cohen is no stranger to the stage; enchanting audiences around the world for the past three years. She has shared stages with Brian Jones Town Massacre (USA) HINDS (SPN), Rodrigo Amarante (BRAZIL) and WARPAINT (USA) and played a string of European festivals amongst the likes of The Flaming Lips and Devendra Banhart.

Cohen’s ‘Pink Is The Colour of Unconditional Love’ is a stunning follow up to her debut, attracting reviews on widely respected online and print music publications. Pitchfork hailed her as ‘a clever and wise cracking songwriter’, while The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald and The Music praised the album with four star reviews. As well as being feature album on Double J and community radio Australia wide, Cohen has made a global impact and has received some well deserved recognition for ‘Pink Is The Colour’.

Gabriella Cohen writes music that is emotionally raw, aching with nostalgia and painted with melodies that recall a languid lovesickness. The Melbourne via LA based songwriter is known for her magnetic stage presence, captivating audiences with a combination of honest heartache and sinister sensuality. Cohen is set to play BIGSOUND before heading off for a month USA tour with King Khan. Catch her at Mullum Music Festival and Jungle Love in November.
