ANGIE HUDSON

Sat | 4.30pm | Drill Hall

Byron local Angie Hudson’s enchanting melodies will be returning for our festivals 10th year. Hudson delivers an enchanting performance with her trio, through woven melody, texture, and rhythm, creating an expressive platform for the listener to enjoy. Featuring drummer/ percussionist, Freyja Hooper and Bassist Shaun Johnston (Tora). Her voice’s electric soul/folk blend has drawn comparisons to the likes of Lianne La Havas, Sade, and Norah Jones.

Gaining rotation and some compelling reviews from peers and media alike including Triple J Roots and All presenter/ Saskwatch frontwoman Nkechi (who named ‘Breathe in’ one of her “favourite songs for 2017”) stating “Her ability to break your heart with her voice is out of control”. While quenching Dom Alessios’s thirst as he reflected ‘Vulnerable’ was “a cool drink of water on a hot day.”
